Getting started
Honeyrush is an idle beehive game on Abstract. You place hives, buy bees, and they forage honey while you're gone. Come back, collect it, buy more bees. Repeat. The numbers just keep going up.
How it works
↓
You click the hive and hit COLLECT
↓
Honey goes into your wallet → spend it on more bees or new hives
↓
More bees = faster honey → the whole thing speeds up
First 5 minutes
1.Connect your wallet via Abstract Global Wallet. No gas fees to worry about.
2.Buy a Season Pass for 0.0015 ETH. That's your entry ticket for the current season.
3.Build your first hive — click an empty plot on the meadow to place a free Cloverhold hive.
4.Open the hive and buy some Scouts. They start working right away.
5.Wait a bit, then collect. Click the hive when honey shows up, hit COLLECT.

Honey & collection
Honey is the only thing that matters in this game. Bees make it, hives store it, you collect it, then spend it on more bees and hives. That's the whole loop.
How it piles up
Each bee produces a fixed amount of honey per second. That honey sits in the hive's uncollected pool until you grab it. The pool has a cap based on your hive type, so it won't grow forever. You have to click the hive and press COLLECT to move honey into your spendable wallet.
Overflow
When a hive starts getting full, your bees slow down. This is on purpose. It's not a punishment, it's a nudge to come back and collect.
| Fill | Speed | What you'll see |
|---|---|---|
| Under 90% | Full speed | Normal counter |
| 90-99% | Half speed | Amber border on the counter |
| 100% | 10% speed | Golden glow, "FULL" badge |
Collection streak
If you collect 3 times in a row and the hive never hits 90% between collections, you get "Keeper's Touch" which is +20% on everything you collect for 5 minutes. Let the hive overflow and the streak resets to zero.
Golden drop
5% chance on every collection. When it hits, your honey is tripled. You'll know it happened because the screen flashes gold and the number is huge. It's random, you can't control it, but it feels great when it lands.
How production is calculated
All these multipliers stack. Late game, you can hit 50x+ your base bee rate.
Bees
Five tiers. Each one is roughly 10x stronger than the last. You buy bees per hive, so each hive has its own separate bee population.
The tiers
| Bee | Base cost | Honey/sec | How to unlock |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scout | 15 | 0.1 | Available from the start |
| Worker | 250 | 1.0 | Have 5 Scouts |
| Forager | 8,000 | 8.0 | 3 Workers + a Meadowreach or Goldenroost hive |
| Nectar Master | 250,000 | 50.0 | 5 Foragers + 500K lifetime honey |
| Queen | 12,000,000 | 300.0 | A Goldenroost hive + 50M lifetime honey |
Prices go up
Every bee you buy of the same type costs 1.15x more than the last one. Your first Scout is 15 honey. Your 50th is about 16,000. It adds up fast.
Placement rules
Queens can only go in Goldenroost hives. Everything else fits anywhere.
Foragers produce 30% more honey when they're in a Meadowreach hive. Worth knowing.
Cloverhold hives give a 20% discount on all bee purchases. Good for stacking cheap Scouts early on.
Bees expand your hive
Each bee you buy adds capacity to the hive it lives in. More bees means more room for honey. The fill time stays around 10 minutes no matter how big your swarm gets.
| Bee | Capacity added |
|---|---|
| Scout | +270 |
| Worker | +2,700 |
| Forager | +21,600 |
| Nectar Master | +135,000 |
| Queen | +810,000 |
Hives
You have 6 slots on your meadow, arranged 3 across and 2 deep. The first slot is free. After that, each one gets more expensive.
Three types
| Hive | Cost | Honey cap | Speed | Bee slots | Perk |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloverhold | 50 | 3,000 | 1.0x | 50 | 20% cheaper bees |
| Meadowreach | 50,000 | 50,000 | 1.5x | 250 | +30% for Foragers |
| Goldenroost | 50M | 2,000,000 | 2.0x | 1,500 | Can house Queens |
Slot prices
| Slot | Cost |
|---|---|
| 1 | Free |
| 2 | 1,000 |
| 3 | 15,000 |
| 4 | 150,000 |
| 5 | 2,000,000 |
| 6 | 30,000,000 |
You pay the slot price plus the hive type price. So building a Meadowreach in slot 3 costs 15,000 + 50,000 = 65,000.
Upgrades
You can upgrade in place: Cloverhold → Meadowreach → Goldenroost. Your bees and improvements carry over. To build a Goldenroost, you need to already have a Meadowreach somewhere and at least 10 Nectar Masters.
Synergy
Mix your hive types. Having 2 different types on the field gives +15% to all honey production. Three different types gives +35%. Six identical Goldenroosts would actually be worse than a mixed field.
| Different types | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 1 | Nothing |
| 2 | +15% |
| 3 | +35% |
Improvements
Three upgrade tracks per hive. These are permanent and survive season resets, so they're worth investing in early.
The three tracks
| Track | Max level | Each level | Maxed out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honeycomb | 7 | +10% production | +70% |
| Wax Foundation | 5 | +20% capacity | +100% (doubles it) |
| Nectar Arts | 6 | -5% bee cost | -30% |
What they cost
| Lv | Honeycomb | Wax | Nectar |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 500 | 300 | 1,000 |
| 2 | 5,000 | 2,500 | 8,000 |
| 3 | 50,000 | 25,000 | 75,000 |
| 4 | 500,000 | 250,000 | 750,000 |
| 5 | 5M | 2.5M | 7.5M |
| 6 | 50M | — | 75M |
| 7 | 500M | — | — |
Seasons & prizes
The game runs in 6-week seasons. Buy a Season Pass for 0.0015 ETH to play. When the season ends, most of your progress resets and top players win ETH from the prize pool. Then it starts over.
What gets wiped, what stays
- All your honey
- All your bees
- Extra hive slots (back to 1)
- Season score
- Streaks
- Improvements
- Achievements
- Past season results
- Cosmetics
Think of the reset as prestige. You start over, but your permanent bonuses make each new season faster than the last.
Prize pool
30% of pass sales go into the pot. It splits three ways:
| Category | % | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Milestones | 50% | Anyone who reaches a tier threshold splits this |
| Top 10 | 25% | Leaderboard top 10 |
| Lottery | 25% | 3 random winners (must reach Silver tier to be eligible) |
Milestone tiers
| Tier | Honey needed | Pool share |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 10M | 25% |
| Gold | 1B | 35% |
| Diamond | 100B | 40% |
Leaderboard scoring
Raw honey collected doesn't directly translate to rank. The score formula flattens the curve so big spenders can't just buy their way to #1:
If someone collects 10x more honey than you, they only get about 2.2x your score.
Claiming prizes
When a season ends, prizes are distributed on-chain via Merkle proof. If you earned anything, a CLAIM button shows up on the Season Complete screen. You can also find it in the Season Panel if you missed it. One click, your ETH lands in your wallet.
Rare events
Every so often (roughly once every 8 hours), something happens on the field. A banner shows up at the bottom with a timer. These are temporary boosts that you either catch or miss.
What can appear
| Event | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Honey Moon | 2x production everywhere | 4 hours |
| Flower Bloom | 3x bee speed | 2 hours |
| Honey Rain | 2x when you collect | 1 hour |
| Royal Visit | 5x production on one hive | 1 hour |
| Swarm Surge | +50% production | 2 hours |
Only one event at a time. After one ends, there's a 1-hour cooldown before the next can trigger.
